    Hi,

Not been on here for a while ... after a long wait of gathering all the information we had and then sending off to Glasgow we have a lot of paperwork sent back.

Anybody got any pointers please where i can go next beside the Reg museum?

    Thanks

    Mark

Hi Mark - good stuff on getting your chaps records.

Ref further research I'd email the museum first to see if they can help rather than visiting. There's also the war diaries at the National Archives in London which are a must as is the regiments official history book,

    Regards
    Andy

The title of this thread says he as 1st Bn Hampshire Regiment and Tony's casualty list states 5th Bn Hampshire Regiment. I note also that there is a France & Germany Star in his medal set.

Did he transfer from the 5th Bn to 1st Bn at some point?
