I know of two regimentals for the North Shore (NB) Regiment: Bird, Will R. North Shore (New Brunswick) Regiment. Fredericton: Brunswick Press, 1963. I found the above in the New Brunswick Regional Library in Saint John, NB. Marc Miller. D-Day to Carpiquet: The North Shore Regiment. Fredericton, NB: Goose Lane Editions, 2007. I recently downloaded the Nook e-book edition on my iPad. There are two regimentals for the Regiment de la Chaudieire, but I have not been able to obtain these. Castonguary, Jacques and Armand Ross. Le Regiment de la Chaudiere. Beauceville, Quebec: Imprimerie L'Eclaireur, 1983. Ross, Major Armand, DSO. Le Geste du Régiment de la Chaudière. Rotterdam: 1945. I do have the 1st Hussars Regimental history: Conron, Brandon. A History of the First Hussars Regiment 1856-1980. London, Ont: The Regiment, 1981. Give me the specific dates you want and I can scan from the book.

I'm still looking for the histories of the Canadian North Shore (New Brunswick) Regiment Le Régiment de la Chaudière looking for the pages on Blackbuster 26 Febr - 10 March 1945, anyone? Hello Stolpi, I am also doing some research into Le Regiment de la Chaudieres, and have been trying to locate the two books mentioned in the thread. I am currently waiting to see if they will come through the Inter-Library loan service via the British Library and LAC, as I have not been able to get any copies here in the UK. We have found that a family relative Cpl Albert Quesnel E11063 from the Quebec area served with this Regiment, and was stationed in England, near Eastbourne around 1942-1943. I have found some photographs and newspaper clippings when browsing online at www.canada at war.ca. And although I can see references to the War Diaries on LAC, I cannot seem to get access to them. Have you had any success with your searches? regards Nell
