Just go to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site. You have his name, death date, and Army Id number. You can tap that into an on-line form and it will spit out his particular cemetery and its particulars.
The only other information available is he was born and resided at Glamorgan. if you send me a large SAE I will post details and a copy of a memorial scroll Free of charge.

This reveals that he originally enlisted in (in other words, his first unit was) the Royal Armoured Corps. The transfer could have happened at any time from basic training onwards. B.
