Locking Threads

    I think it might just be SOP on some forums: question answered, close the thread, move on.

    No SOPs, I like open threads, but as I said; Nuffin' to do with me.

    Ok cheers...Seems odd that I in a years time someone wants to contribute to it they couldn't.

    This is an interesting concept. Do we 'own' threads that we start ? I'd always rather felt that once an idea was thrown to a forum, it led a life of it's own, which might include a direction that the OP doesn't choose (I realise that's not the case on this one).

    Pretty much how I see it too. Though I also haven't much of a problem with 'specific' query answered, move on.
    Nice to leave stuff open, as sometimes people rock up later with little nuggets.

    Threads are like a box of chocolate, in some cases with the occasional brown-but-not-chocolate in the wrapping.
