    Is this information correct??

If you have his service records then I would suggest posting them on here as other members will help decipher them. If not then I suggest obtaining a copy from : https://www.gov.uk/requests-for-personal-data-and-service-records#how-to-apply-for-service-personnel-records

Hello - I'm assuming you do not know what battalion of the Lincs he was in or when he was captured?

We think he was 4th battalion, was captured in Norway 11 April 1940 - 20 April 1940 then moved to xxb.

4 Lincs were in need in Norway at that time and the only Lincs battalion there. Was he definitely captured in Norway?

It says in the book that my Nan has he was captured in Norway then transferred.

Then I'd be fairly confident he was 4 Lincs. The only way to know for sure would be a copy of his service records from the MoD at a cost of £30

He was definitely a Lincoln. From the nominal roll of the Lincolns. After being set free at the end of the war, he continued to serve until he was discharged on 1 March 1946.

Attached is an after action report from the war diary of 4 Lincolns in Norway. If he served in 4 Lincolns, then this will tell you about the events that happened whilst he was in Norway. I've checked the war diary from the outbreak of war and there are no Appendicies showing names of men posted to 4 Lincolns, so I can't confirm the Battalion. As others have posted, please apply for the service record.

Once you have confirmed he joined 4 Lincolns, I have a copy of the 4 Lincolns war diary from Aug 39, to the date of capture, which I can let you have.
