Lieutenant Colin Campbell Mitchell "Mad Mitch"

    This officer joined the 8th Argylls in 1944. Does anyone know when? I seem to remember it was in late 1944 but a source states he was wounded at Monte Cassino. I'd also like to know which platoon he led, and the company.

    Found a bit of my answer. Mitchell was only commissioned in October 1944 and therefore wasn't at Monte Cassino. I also found he was wounded but not where or when.
