    Caption reads:

"Smiles of victory light the faces of these Canadian soldiers whom
the infantrymen of the 87th Division, 3rd U.S. Army have just liberated
from two years of imprisonment in Germany. The Canadians were captured
in the ill-fated Dieppe Raid on Aug. 19, 1942.

"87th INF DIV, 345 REGT, TUSA, Tambach, Germany.

    Date: 9 April 1945.
