Leonard Fairclough Memorial Gardens, Adlington

    The garden, in Adlington, Lancashire, is a memorial to Leonard Fairclough (1852–1927). The Spitfire may be a memorial to 1450687 Flight Sergeant (Air Bomber) Leonard Thomas Fairclough, 9 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Died 20th February 1944, aged 20. Son of Paul and Alice Evelyn Fairclough, of Adlington.
