There seems to be online information about the Northumberland HG and this Rootschat thread should give you some pointers, if you haven't already seen it: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=537499.0 A repost in the Home Front/UK section of the Forum might also give you a bit more. My own guess, for what it is worth, would be the 1st or 2nd Northumberland Battalions, but which of the two, and which Coy/Platoon within that Battalion......? Chris
Yes 1st or 2nd Battalion, although it is difficult to say which, as Belford is almost exactly halfway between Berwick and Alnwick, the HQ of the 1st and 2nd resp.
