Hello Jadzia, Just to update this thread, here is a copy of words pasted on another thread titled: “16th June 1940 ? ? ? ?”. “Harry Moses has responded on the L/Sergeant Wadley query. He has spoken to George Iceton MM of the 6th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry, who unfortunately can't remember Wadley; they were in a different part of the battalion.” In addition, I intend to visit the National Archive in the not too distant future and will have a look at the War Diary ‘WO 361/41 British Expeditionary Force, France: The Durham Light Infantry; missing men’, if I have time, just to see if there is any mention of L/Sergeant Wadley. Please let me know if this has already been done?! Best, Steve. Steve, Sorry just came across your update for this ...theres no mention of Wadley in the Missing Men files.Hope you did`nt have a wasted trip? Heres a photograph of the L/Sgts grave .My thanks to Pierre Vandervelden at index for the supply/permissions etc for this image. Jim

I haven't made it along to the National Archive yet. I'm desparate to get there but just never have the time; work gets in the way mainly, but then there is family; grandson demanding my attention, etc. Even looking at this site and adding comments is usually 'pinched' time. I actually owe a couple of forum members some information and have done for some time now. I must get that done this next week. Hope all is okay with you and yours. Best, Steve.
This thread was started a long time before I joined but I received this today and I`m happy to oblige;- I know the original poster has been gone for a while but they may look in again Kyle
