Complete with a Vickers (steam plume and all) and R. Lee Ermy. This is a twice-annual machine gun shoot at the Knob Creek Range in Kentucky where people from around the country bring their machine guns and submachine guns for a party. JT YouTube - Firepowertv Machine Gun Shoot Knob Creek 2005

My friends and I have long dreamt of the Knob Creek Shootout, even got it pencilled in for my brothers 40th birthday trip. Edit: forgot to link the video page, that MG42 in JT's clip really illustrates the extreme rate of fire doesn't it.
Looking at some of the other Videos linked from the Youtube one, Crikey. Films of Artillery and tanks firing there too.
Why didn't the Vicker's have a condenser? Am I the only one here to admit finding it all a bit disturbing, the American worship of fire-power?
Absolutely awsome! Have a look at this. YouTube - mail call at knob creek I can see me making a visit there!!:m1:
Am I the only one here to admit finding it all a bit disturbing, the American worship of fire-power? :sign_what: Ah Yes, The pitter patter of 9 mm hitting the ground. Owen, It's called the Second Amendment. "the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.":icon_police: Woo, to those who try to remove it for it is the Checks and balances system of the United States government and the Right of the American People. :patriot[1]: R. Lee is a hoot isn't he
Pete, I'm just not used to seeing civvies with that much firepower. In the UK the only people outside the Military with that kind of Arsenal were the IRA. I do admit to missing blating away on a GPMG from time to time.
Aren't you guys getting a bit phallic obsessed? Kitty, what do you think? :loldevil: eh? what? oh, yes... yes of course. Totally obsessed. Quite. Where's Knob Creek again?
Pete, I'm just not used to seeing civvies with that much firepower. In the UK the only people outside the Military with that kind of Arsenal were the IRA. I do admit to missing blating away on a GPMG from time to time. Not to bring up a Merky subject Owen, but most of those in attendance were probably ex military. There's nothing quite like an MG-42 ripping through the North Woods on a cold morning or the power of an MP5 grouping center target in an indoor range. Oh, now there's an interesting subject, The IRA. Orange you glad I didn't say bananas.^_^
Owen, It's called the Second Amendment. "the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Damn it, Herr Oberst, you're misreading the bleeping Constitution! It's the right to keep and arm Bears!
I don't mind sharing honours, Kitty By the way, the full text to 2nd Amendment reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Now I have a couple of objections to this Youtube strip. We see: - a bunch of guys having a good time shooting hot lead. Is this a "well regulated Militia" per the constitutional text? - how necessary are these frollickers to "the security of a free State"? I could also ask how relevant is an amendment introduced in 1789 and ratified in 1791 to the society of 2006. If you want to have permissive legislation on guns please be my guest, that's your entire prerrogative to legislate how ever you please, but invoking a law with more than 200 years with an out of time context wording is really not necessary.
