King's School war memorial

    I am researching the men on the King's School Worcester war memorial and would like to know if anyone can tell me how the following two men were killed in 1940

    ALLEN, Richard William Marsh Lieutenant 70076 Royal Artillery 258 Bty., 65 Field Regt. DUNKIRK MEMORIAL 22 19/05/1940
    MONAHAN, Patrick Charles Watson Second Lieutenant 90035 7th Btn Worcestershire Regiment GIVENCHY-LES-LA-BASSEE COMMUNAL CEMETERY 30 26/05/1940

    As far as I can tell, he was never known as Richard (he was registered as Dick at birth).
