    Wow, cracked it. 'echodelta' that is......Pin points very accurately to various farm buildings, which are still there that were used in the Ronco operation of the 26th Oct.44.

    Brilliant...Thanks to all you guys......how do you know of all this stuff?

    Just read all the posts my Dad Walter James Smith no 6855739 was also at the Ronco River Crossing I have just found out that he was on the list of missing. He ended up at Stalag 7a Moosburg until its liberation by American forces in August 1945. He returned home and met and married my Mum, he never spoke about his time except on one occasion when he started to talk about a river crossing but he got very emotional as there were many casualties and he then stopped talking about this.
