    Morning.
I'm researching a local man Hubert Moore who was discharged in 1942. I understand that Para 390 (xvi) means he was “Ceasing to fulfil army physical requirements”, but I'm unsure what the (153) means above it.
    Can anyone explain this please?
Hubert died a few weeks later.
    Thanks Steve
Just had a thought that it maybe the page number in the KR's?

Anyone able to work out what this refers to?

All 4 medals & clasp forfeited. First time I've seen this on a medal card.

I can’t help Diane other than to say that reference to QR likely means it was a post 1952 application/decision to not issue medals?

I appreciate you won’t want to share the name but if there is no indication that the subject was still serving it’s likely a post discharge civil issue for an OR.

I’ve seen a few SG records with entries 1945/46 where medals (not then issued) were forfeited for misbehavior during the war (often sentence of imprisonment imposed) but were reinstated on application 1946/47 while still serving post war awaiting delayed discharge having forfeited previous service (usually “Regular Army” subjects also getting their “lost” service reinstated).

If it’s an officer different “rules” may apply….it could be misconduct during or post service.

Would NA Court Martial index search be helpful?

    Cheers Steve,
Aye, I agree about the use of QR
I only put up the relevant parts here for possible KR ref but the card will be posted eventually along with the others I'm currently preparing. (We know they weren't all choirboys. ;))
Was only wondering roughly what category of 'charges' this might fall under for any future reference. I'm sure there will be others as more are shared on internet.

    Hello!

Thank you for providing access to KR1940. Looking at your prints, I noticed the last one mentions an amendment for 390 (xxix), but the text is covered.

Could you please let me know what xxix refers to? I am an ATIP analyst and one of my client requested the military file of a veteran who had that discharge. Since his personnal information is still lawfully protected, I'm wondering if I can disclose this type of release.

    Thanks in advance!
