Hi Owen. The medal in question is a GSM 'Malaya'. Like I said he was with the 1st Battalion who suffered 1 killed. The 2nd Battalion also suffered one killed whilst the 3rd Battalion had a horrible tour suffering 21 killed. regards Conor
