Anyway we all know that the German reports were cherry picked by the Allies, or plain misrepresented ala Goodwood, in order to justify critically flawed defensive plans to halt the Russians. Exploration of various interrogations and postwar memos point to different conclusions by senior German commanders, as does various battlefield documentation/reports.

This isn't new. Its just not that well disseminated and consequently not that widely known.
