I took this photo in Feb this year in Kendal http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=49815&stc=1&d=1304281435 I know this memorial well, its in my home town and I've marched past on quite a few rememberence days. Its a very impressive memorial for what was at the time a smallish town. There are other less well known memorials in the town, Kirbie Kendal School, K shoes and there was/is one at Gilkess or was it the old Snuff factory?
