    Afternoon all,

I'm not really up on British North African uniform insignia, how was it displayed?

Was it stiched onto the sleeves a la battledress or was on epaulette slides? Was there a distinction between the two?

    Thanks

G'day Mongo, I've done a bit of research on Nth African KD kit for a diorama I am making and from what I've found officers and NCO's had rank slides on epaulette's .They didn't have regimental or divisional patches sewn on. Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul, good to get a general overview.

I was trying to work out if a still from some footage was potentially Phantom members lining up on a road as the King came by. I wasn't sure how many units may or may not have had patches.

However I know that some members of Phantom did wear their patches on their epaulettes.

G'day Mongo, the "Phantom" you mention is that a Matilda Tank?

No, sorry, GHQ Liaison Regt, codenamed Phantom. Signals unit reporting lines of battle back to army/corps level.
