No sure when this pic was taken of Juno but appears to be shortly after June 6th. The Essex Scottish landed on Juno on July 5, 1944. The war diary says they landed at La Valette. On the pic this would be where what looks like a temporary pier is located with a landing craft on the beach. Does anyone know anything about this location. Today there is a public campground named the Canadian Scottish directly beside near the beach.
