I've heard Robert Lyman's ' Japan's last bid for victory' is supposed to be good, and there's snippets of info in a handful of others, but just wondered if there were any that were more detailed, or written solely from their perspective? Thanks Paul

Confirmed it is the book that the Burmese harp is based upon. If anyone's interested, it's under a tenner on Amazon and has both dvd and blu ray discs. The Burmese Harp [Masters of Cinema] (Dual Format Edition) [Blu-ray] [1956] https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0074NKR86/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_VlgbzbBSRWS5J
