Taken by Sgt. Travis. (Nb. actually a Crusader tank, rather than a Valentine, despite what the Object description and caption card currently says). Sergeant Chris Travis was an accomplished photographer - IWM AFPU Portrait photographs - who had taken pictures of Valentines and Crusaders... Find an object | Imperial War Museums Find an object | Imperial War Museums IWM E18645 is also between E18644 by Sergeant Silverside and E18645 by Sergeant Fox, so seems quite an anomalous pic. to crop up there.
The Valentine pictures says on the back that it was taken by Lt. Knight? It's an interesting one though, as they were practising assault landings there I think. All the best Andreas
