You know best what you need to do or not do. I applaud you making the decision to stop when you felt it was time.

How long have I been driving? Legally in a car 37 years, although I got my motorcycle license 18 months before that, when I was 14. But, I was driving on the roads and what not in a car or pickup truck by myself since I was 13 and from age 8 with my grandfather or father with me in the passenger seat, usually hauling hay.

Glad to are all right Ron.

I have had my licence for 46 years and love it - Do not know what I would do without it.

My present car has carried me around for 10 years and clocked up 270,000kms.

I would miss it however as you, I would hope I know when it was time to give it up.

    Cheers and all the best.

I have been driving 14 years. My husband is in the Army and can drive all sorts of vehicles, nothing phases him. I get worried just getting in a new car for the first time! So he drives us around most of the time. Of course I still like to give him some tips on how to drive properly, just to annoy him ;)

Sorry to hear that you've stopped driving, Ron; but glad that you made the decision before it was made for you!

    All the best!

    Ron,
Always hard to admit that your driving days are over.
But you have made a wise decision. Cars are just pieces of metal that can be either repaired or scrapped.
You are much more precious than any car and hopefully public transport in your area is OK.
5th November 1968 I passed my Motorcycle test and passed my car test in 1971, so I am a mere sprog at 45 years car drivingâ˜ș
    Regards
    Tom
