Well the snow is well and truly falling now and we had a new addition to the family before Christmas and she is loving it!!!! Post a picture of your mut
Our own is a bit of a mixture - mother a spaniel and father alledgedly a local collie. As far as her talents she could swim and retrieve sticks until you could no longer throw them , she will only bring back that which you throw for her. She would have made a great gun or sniffer dog. She just has no idea that she is a dog. YouTube - More Hogg YouTube - Boss Hogg . She was by youngest girls dog , but when she required walsk and got too big to be carried around she became mine "Dad sign the adoption papers" was how it was put to me. The two silly clips - to send to the eldest who lives in Newcastle and to a freind who was in Kandahar - (David) a seriosu coarse fisherman just loved the way she jumped into the Erne to bring him back his groundbait , she also stole his lunch and for a lad who loves his food ..... Her Knights Cross for rescuing sticks.
This is my friend's springer chilling out this morning. We're taking her out later and she's like a snow plow when she gets going. Love's the snow.
Guys I love Spaniels once had 14, they didn't live in doors I had kennels. I once did alot of shooting and competed them in field trials...fond memories.
Here's some of our rescued Cocker Spaniel Barney from 'The Dogs Trust' Plug Plug- Dogs Trust Barney in the snow last year. Barney after a bath and not looking too happy Barney swimming at Bridlington And running. With a dry coat
Some lovely pooches you guys have there. I'm jealous. I really want a puppy. Nearly went and bought a 6 week old German Shepherd the other day for £150 but the sensible side of me said I can't afford it this month.
This is my mate's springer spaniel, before and after running herself into the ground in today's snow. Her expression is a picture. Definitely a dogs life!!

Some lovely pooches you guys have there. I'm jealous. Eat ye heart out! Ladies and Gentlemen! I present to you .......... Orange Dog! Orange Dog is the centre of my universe. Period! I really want a puppy. Nearly went and bought a 6 week old German Shepherd the other day for £150 but the sensible side of me said I can't afford it this month. Forgive me, Marcus, but; If ye can't afford £150 this month? What ye figuring to do next month, when the pup needs all the little things that just don't crop up in ones imaginings of taking care of a Real, Live Dog? And right at the start of a global recession? Sorry. Perhaps that comes over as having a go at ye? If so? My sincere apologies. I'm a complete and total 'Dog Nut'. I really do have the best intentions. Only I've had a few beers too and could become seriously boring on the issue of Dogs here Check out local, (I often prefer privately run) Rescues. How about considering Fostering a Dog ....? Food for thought?

How about considering Fostering a Dog ....? Food for thought? No problems mate. I'm taking the missus and her kid to Blackpool next month so am saving my money for that. On a normal month £150 is no problem, neither is the feeding or maintenance of a pooch. I used to have two German Shepherds years ago and I miss having a dog around. I don't think I'd want to foster one though, I want a Dog for life (not just for Christmas :p) Drew, Never thought about Dogs trust. I'll have a good look through their site later today.
Ladies and Gents, I've just became a Dad. I'm now the proud owner of a 5 day old Staffy pup. Gonna call him Sonny. I found him by luck because I asked a girl at the local shop if she knew anyone selling pups round our way. She said someone 5 doors from me was selling pups so I knocked on. Pure luck!!! I get him in about 5 weeks time when I'll feel guilty about taking him from his mum...... but at least she'll only live 5 doors down and we can take them both to the field. Anyway, didn't know how to post vids on the forum so here's a link to youtube where I uploaded it earlier. YouTube - Sonny 5 days old
Finally got Sonny. Got him slightly early because he was eating and drinking properly and his teeth were a little uncomfortable for his mum to feed him. He's been a little terror during the night mind, waking us up by biting our ears and chewing things around the bedroom. Here's a couple of pics.
