Your listing was ended by the seller because may be the item is no longer available. Well, but if the asking price was $349.99 and you've lowered him to $150 then don't worry just buy it even if it is a repo but it looks like an original para helmet.

    that is an excellent point.
since the photography was dark, its is rather hard to tell- but dark photos are an 'interesting approach'.!

You could have a metal analysis - american helmets of WW @ had defined specs for manganese steel

"The khaki colored para straps appear to be the correct wartime eleven row pattern. I am not a helmet expert some items may have been restored on this piece please take this into consideration before bidding"

Says it all and standard get out clause type statements for sellers on Ebay trying to shift iffy items. If this was all original, it would have sold for a lot more.

My gut tells me this is Korean or Vietnam war era. The leather and webbing inside looks a bit too new. Chincup is almost certainly modern. The paint on the liner would drop the price, as would the condition of the helmet.

A WW2 liner by itself is £150 worth by itself, so either the seller knows, or is an idiot.

I am no expert on WW2? US helmets...but here's my take on this particular example. It could be almost US made thats for sure, WW2 made is unlikely judging by the more expert advice so far. On a plus side the price is reasonable for the helmet if the intention is to use it for display or Battle re-enactment purposes.
i do know from previous experience that most WW2 liners were made by 'Firestone' with an 'F' stamped in the liner as opposed to Post War Danish examples which have three crowns stamped in the top inside of liner.

Also sir most liners are not Firestone. Your "previous experiences" were false. Millions apron millions of liners were made in world war two. The company that produced the most was Westinghouse electric company. Toobe exact they made 23 million during the war. They would be the most common liner. Firestone only made 7 million. And the helmet is without a doubt wired war two era US made. It is a FRONT SEAM, I don't know where your getting Danish helmet from ??
Being a collector for several years I know the obvious difference between a US and foreign helmet.

Just an observation here screamingeagles but responding in this way to members `opinions` defeats the object of you asking for them in the first place doesnt it?:confused::confused:. You started by asking;-
Is this helmet a repo ?
Hello, I have just bought this helmet on eBay and I am expecting it to be shipped to my house soon. The price says $349.99 but I lowered him to $150.
I have checked it out on other forums as well. I just want to make sure the shell and liner check out.
Just give me your opinions and if this is an original para helmet.

They have given you their thoughts and opinions??????? so why try to enforce your original opinions on them. You asked they have given be thankful for their view

Strange that on the other forum from which you were banned that you were still trying to complete a put together helmet as your first WWII helmet only in September of this year?

"Well as long as its ww2 and will fit in my schlueter m1 helmet, I will have my first real complete ww2 helmet !!!"

The man was just trying to help out, no need to strike out at him. He stated in his post that he was not claiming to be an expert and I detected nothing condescending in it's delivery.

I don't understand your need to big yourself up, just be honest and tell it like it is and you will be accepted on any forum, but this propensity for dishonesty means you will always be found out and will probably result in your being thrown off forum after forum.

Just chill, be honest and accept other peoples help and you will get on IMHO.
