Interesting. It is the first WWII fighter game that features the American P-80 Shooting Star jet. Wonder if they have it out performing the ME-262s? I guess it depends on who makes it.

Dude in 1994 Lucas Arts had a game out called "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" in which the P-80 was featured. Wasnt a bad game either!

yea, look at the videos on ign.com it's unrealistic. How do you survive 60 shots from an AA gun?

I was let down by the commands. I thought you command them to flank. Your teamates DO NOTHING FOLKS! Look at the images, videos, and demos. They are just there. Erghh!!! I hate that.

So far so good, just allowed the fleet to get away from Dunkirk safely but the Germans are carrying out some bomobing runs over London.

Overall pretty good gameplay, takes a bit of time to get used to the controls, but they handle well. Graphics are a bit juddery at some points, especially in a tight turn but bearable.

    Nice atmosphere and sounds.

I've ordered it today. So should come early next week.
I think there's another flight sim out soon called 'War over Europe' something like that anyway.
It's about time the flight sims started making a come back.
Has anybody played 'B-17, The mighty eighth'? It came out about 6 years ago.:)

I got one about that time. I played it a couple of times and gave it to my nephew. It seemed pretty nice, I just dote on my nephews and neices so I end up giving them most of the games I get, some even before I have played them. It's more fun watching them than playing them yourself. Plus the time you can spend on them...sheesh!

Yeah I know, I used to spend way too much time on games. Played Call of Duty to death online.
B-17 was good but you couldn't save it until you had completed a mission, which took a while.
I've got Blazing Angels but I need to mess around with it, I can't get the joystick to work, you take-off and go straight into a spin. And it keeps locking up which is annoying.

The controls are the only annoying thing, it does take time to get use to them, its been so long since I used a joystick I would probably fair worse with one.

My Dad flies in his spare time and I got him an expensive piece of kit for his last christmas, one of these forces feedback sticks with a throttle but he says it nothing like the real thing.

Yeah, one problem with flight simulators and games is that they can't give you the real affects of the airplane, acceleration, sound of wind on the side of the plane, G forces, etc. A lot of flying and coordinating is by feel and by vision. Flight simulators and games do teach you the fundamentals of flying and you can even learn instrument flying with them, but actually flying is quite different.
