Came across the image of this Shamrock Poppy badge on a webpage (looks enamel) but have had no response to any contact re its source .. and now I've lost the link (Doh!) I've checked with Irish RBL contacts I have without success but they all think its great. So... wondered whether any here might know of it? Love to hear of anything on it and get one if possible.
I've had a quick Google but with no luck as such. I did find 116 'Poppy Badges' on e-bay which include the Red Hand of Ulster poppy badge and a lot I've never seen before.....including a Norwich City Football Club poppy badge????

As it happens this is the site I first saw this 'logo' IRISH SOLDIER WW1 - Home and I have now had a response from the site owner: " .... As for the poppy on the shamrock. This was something I made myself, simply by superimposing the poppy image on an image of the shamrock. I did this in remembrance of the irish sacrifice in the Great War. It is not an official emblem." Well thats it then ... nice work him.

The Royal British Legion in Ireland have produced "An Irish Poppy" badge. Check it out on the Limerick RBL Branch homepage.
Heartening to see that the citizens of my ancestry hometown are now able to more fully commemorate the bravery of these men, including those who volunteered to fight the Nazis. Richard
