    Hi Everyone

Hopefully I have posted this in the correct thread.

I am trying to put together a list of Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and their enlistment dates.

For example I have 3 relatives of mine:

    03/01/1928 - 6976124 Fusilier John Patterson

    17/10/1933 - 6977491 Fusilier Patrick Smith

    20/10/1937 - 6978937 Fusilier Alexander Hegarty

As well as the "Skins" I am going to try the same thing with the Irish Guards.

    For example

    09/02/1914 - 2714299 Drum Major Robert Arnsby (Formerly 4695)

    15/07/1921 - 2715384 Guardsman Jack Gordon

    01/02/1924 - 2715926 Guardsman William Donegan

If anyone could help add to my list it would be very much appreciated.

    Regards

    Conor

    Hi Conor
How about my dad:- Fus 3774195 Alan Murrow, 2nd Bn Skins.
As you can see from his number, he was enlisted into the Kings Liverpool [16/10/39], into the holding battalion, before posting in to the Skins 28/04/40.
    Regards

Bringing this one back to life. Its been a few years but I've still only added another 5 or 6 to the Skins. The one to the Irish Guards is pretty much done thanks to Diane. If anyone can add any to the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers block of 6972001 - 7006000 then it would be much appreciated. From what I have discovered the creation of the General Service Corps meant that the Skins never got past the 6987000 area.

James many thanks for the piece of info but I'm really only concentrating on those who originally enlisted into the Skins and have a Skins number. Just to make things a little easier for myself :)

    Many Thanks

    Conor

Conor hallo. Very interested in your work.

My uncle, Davy Thompson, enlisted in Omagh in 1937, and was in Burma twice. I'll get back to you with his number if you are still doing this.

    Thank you

    Regards

    Alan Deery
