    Hello Everyone,
I am looking for some help/clarification regarding Interrogation files of downed German pilots in the UK. I am researching the history of my village and have found reference to the Junkers Ju 88A-5 5J+ER which was shot down at Duggleby on the Yorkshire Wolds in October 1940. The military guard for the plane was provided by the 2nd Manchester Regiment, and the survivors were taken to Langton to be interrogated at the Battalion HQ at the Norcliffe Arms. The crew consisted of:
Oblt Friedrich Franz Podbielski pilot (POW),
    Uffz Hans Heier observer (POW),
Uffz Karl von Kidrowski wireless operator (POW),
    Uffz Oskar Piontek gunner (DoI)
Oskar Piontek later died in hospital from the injuries sustained in the crash.
I have found a forum post on '12 O'Clock High' which talks about 'K Files' and 'G Files'. I wondered if anyone knew what that meant, or whether anyone can point me to the Interrogation Files in the TNA that I can request from them?

Sorry not about interrogation reports but if you haven't already seen it, this is the WD ref for 2nd Bn Manchester Regt covering their time in UK, 1940.

INFANTRY: 2 Manchester Regiment. | The National Archives
    Reference: WO 166/4450
    Description: INFANTRY: 2 Manchester Regiment.
    Date: 1940 June - 1941 Dec.

Someone on the forum may have already have a copy of that file .
Other members regularly visit Kew and charge much less than TNA for copying documents.

    Welcome aboard.

There are others who may have expert knowledge on post-capture interrogation.

None of the names listed have appeared here before, nor are they on The National Archives (TNA) database.

The '12 o'clock High' forum post was in 2013 and has some details, including a possible reference in a book to the crash. See: 5J+ER (7/KG4) downed 27 Oct 1940 [Archive] - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum which is also cited in the crash report: https://asn.flightsafety.org/wikibase/22437

    For Podbielski:
    From: Kracker Luftwaffe Archive

Looking through the TNA hits at least two of the prisoners appear to have Polish-sounding surnames with 'ski'.

Now that the forum master of telling you what you had not asked has increased his post count.

Here is the part answer to what you requested info on.

K report were created by RAF Intelligence section AI(1) and are archived under Air40 at the TNA
