Interesting photograph, possibly India or Burma.

Another little snapshot that I bought along with some family photographs at an antique market. There is possibly a connection with Walsall as some of the other family photographs had Walsall photographers' names and addresses on them.

Other than that, there is no information as to where or when this photograph was taken. It appears to be a briefing or training lecture for a mixed group of British soldiers, some of whom are wearing bush hats. It would be too much to hope that someone could recognise the officer giving the lecture.

I wonder if he was an "umpire" during troop exercises? They wore white armbands.

He certainly could have been and if he was the exercises would probably have taken place in India.
