    Hi everybody,

I would be delighted and grateful if you could help me regarding information on a visit to Goebbels villa at Bogensee.

I can't find much out about the villa on the internet and I have been unable to find many pictures from the period, do you know where I could find any period pictures and info on the villa?

Also does anybody know maybe a local contact or guide I could get in touch with regarding a gaining access to the Villa for a look around? An e-mail, address or anything like that would be fantastic.

Thank you so much for your time and I'm very grateful for any advice given.

    Ross

I feel sure someone posted some Then & Nows of this place recently, either here or on WW2F?
Something about marker paint on trees still being visible...
Hmm, or that might have been a Himmler location now I think harder. Will have a dig.

    Ah, sorry, Red Herring:

    Apologies for my addled memory.

Thanks for the info Tom and Von Poop.

I have been speaking to a reporter in Germany who has been in the villa and he said that he will try and help me out with some details on gaining access.

Will let you know how it goes.

The PR company who deal with the Goebbels villa got back to me today via e-mail and have said no to allowing me in.

I'm so disappointed. I really thought they would give me access, especially as I stated I was a journalist.

The reporter in Berlin who has been helping me with this read the e-mail and thinks the reasons they gave for not allowing me in are little porkies.

I will try again in a few months and see if I can some how soften them up a little :)

If they are going to eventually sell and tear down the villa, I would like to examine this piece of history before they do.
