Information on battle of dunkirk

Hello,im doing my history project on battle of dunkirk
my title is,how the british turned the close disaster of dunkirk into a famous victory,
i have information on the evacuation.hitlers decision and a bit more

im stuck for finding imformation on the advance of the germans into dunkirk

and how the bef held of the germans...

I really need information asap...thank u very much

 

Welcome to the forum.

When you refer to 'Hitler's decision' are you meaning his order to stop the German advance just outside Dunkirk?

There's quite a few Dunkirk threads on here. I'd use the search engine and see what you can come up with.

Dunkirk: The Men They Left Behind by Sean Longden

Both are very reasonably priced on play.com

i know and thanks for your help.but im trying to find a paragraph of just how the BEF held of the germans to help gain more time for the evacuation to take place,,any help?

Don't forget the final rearguard at Dunkirk were the French who held the line to let the last of the British escape.

I don't think your teacher would want you to use material written by someone else. Why don't you read some of the material we have pointed you to and write it yourself? That's what education is about, not cut and paste.

ive read 3 books,been on the internet all day and cant find anything on the BEF holding of the germans..u guys know this stuff,**** me out with some info please,help a **** out please.....i need this stuff.lol...
