I'm a bit slow!

Hi All,

Over the last few days I have been experiencing very slow page loading and post uploading on the forum. Everything seems normal on other websites; has anyone else encountered this, or is it just me.

I have had trouble with slow page loading just now and also very slow reaction when I signed in.
I don't post often but am a regular reader of the very interesting and informative posts here.

I've had similar experience to yourself over the last few days but it's sporadic and limited to my normal 'opening' page which is always 'New Content since my last visit'. Normally very quick but sometimes quite slow with this normally being sorted by exiting the Forum and then going straight back in again...all without logging off. In case it's of interest to Adam et alia I'm using an iPad and stay logged on. I've had no problems with posting to threads and this evening has been OK.

Update at 10pm: all now quite slow (loading the main page, viewing new content and posting to this thread.

I'm on an Imac and much like yourself Steve, open with the new content page and don't often log off from the site.

 

Looks like we both have problems with our Apples.......have you seen the Ronnie Corbett Sketch? Search YouTube if you haven't. It's hilarious and possibly inspired by the Four Candles sketch. Apologies for drifting off the thread topic but, hey, this is a fantastic Forum where you can learn all sorts of things about all sorts of things......and even a bit about WW2.

 

I just thought everyone else was very quick. Slow loading pages and posts. From laptop with windows 10. However in poor reception area so usually put issues down to that. Brian

 

Have to agree with Steve in post 1 - its nothing to do with the changeover to a new server thingy is it??

I use an iPad and sometimes log-off, but mostly stay logged-on. Nothing untoward happening here, yet, I think, I hope...

Slow for me but I've not been at my usual location. This seems to be the only one of my regular visits that is affected.

Just noticed that my recent posting was slow enough for me to get frustrated which resulted in me hitting the save button twice and creating a double posting !

Precisely the same problem here and I have a very fast Internet connection. I also notice that the viewing figures for threads don't seem to be updating often.

 

Yep same for me past few days. On new laptop and windows 10. Slow to load pages and when I hit the post button it has started saying "saving post", although it does actually post my reply after taking ages.

Yes, slow now for the past two or three days, other sites are normal. Have not changed or updated any of my kit recently.
