Seeing the English language abused like this 'down south', I am so pleased that I am a northerner.

I've always been able to spoke proper Engerland like what I used to could.

    Thanks mate.:D

Yes, but I refuse to talk like a ventriloquist's dummy whilst not moving my jaws or lips (much like a ventriloquist)... sovverners, eh?!

I'm a north easterner living 'doon soooth'. I'm on missionary work and give some latitude... stops the confusion setting in!

    I must be rich...

May I remind you that Christianity in Engerlaland started in the north east. Despite all the rape and pillage we ain't heathens; just misunderstood rampaging yoofs, innit!

Just back from walking the whippet. Nearly lost my flat cap in the North Easterly but fortunately plenty of coal in the bath to stoke up the fire.

A few weeks ago I started to take a bit of a look into the family tree and was surprised that both my wife and my ancestors came from the Midlands, so not really a Northerner at all.

Anyway can try and live the part, now for supper, bread and dripping, lovely.

That would depend on how far South you live, I guess.

Please note, this is South London speak.
This is what you get if you go over the bridge or through the tunnel into Indian Country!!
Ask Catford born boy Andy (Drew).
We speak proper this side of the river.

Well mate this thread is really down to you

    A bit of background.

I joined the forum in Oct 2009
Finding my feet over the first few months and happened across a thread (your thread) about WW2 George Medal recipients and photos of headstones required.
So I thought well I can take photos and help.Which I did.
And there started the journey of photography of WW2 headstones/memorials and random shots (this thread as an example)

Ah, that's more like the attempts at profound commentary I'm used to by southerners. Least the ones from the island I live on... :D
