    OK, here is help:
It is add-on for cold conditions, used early in the war, and after it was replaced by better basic equipment.

    Oh finally yes.
They were used in 1942, until better boots arrived.

    Your turn.

    Hi
It's been awhile since I've been on here, but I'm after a little help please. Amongst a few things my Dad had at the back of his wardrobe, after telling me he didn't have any of his equipment from WW2. I found what I believe is a Swagger Stick. The photos aren't brill, but every time I tried to get a snap the little devil turned slightly as I pressed 'snap'. It has been damaged during it's 'Service Years' and very well in my eyes repaired. But I might be wrong in that.
Could someone please help me as to the Rank of Officer that would have this type of stick and what the 'metal was that was used on various parts of the stick. Also was it WW2 or the remnants of WW1. There was the last time I had questions a couple of very helpful members came to my rescue, I hope they can or anyone else will be able to help me this time.
    Thanks in advance
    Misty
