    Couldn't possibly have been taken by that rather complete Radio jeep at The Victory Show could it? ;)

    Generator, Hand Cranked, 10W. Exactly so. Could be used for charging batteries too.

    Having gone round the houses somewhat, first thinking it was a hand thrown AT grenade, then suspecting that plate at the base might have something to do with the PIAT and looking at a wider array of mortar projectiles than I ever thought possible I finally found.... a rifle grenade:

    No. 68 AT Grenade, 1940+. ??

    (ironically the Hogg book cited in that article is only 3 feet away from me, a fine example of the internet, overcomplicating things)
