Identification of uniform

    I recently came across this photo going through my great nan's items. I do not know who it is so have no information and am struggling to identify anything beyond him being a Lance Corporal.
    I think the beret badge is potentially Royal Engineers but have no idea about the badge above the chevron- can anyone help?

    Not found an example of the badge above the chevron.
    Battle Dress Blouse looks to be 1944/45 issue with medal ribbons could be post war.
    Head dress looks like a beret rather than Cap GS.(in picture above taken in 1945).

    Open collar & tie denotes late war/postwar .
    Also medal ribbons worn.

    No idea on arm badge.
