    Not only vegetables!

"Police raided a house in south west Sydney recently and found an object they suspected of being a bomb. But it wasn’t until a major police station had been evacuated, five police officers had been taken to hospital, and a man was arrested amid terrorism fears, that the small device was found to be nothing more than a homemade sex toy."

Don't forget that SOE devised many guises for bombs as coal, logs of wood and dead rats etc....the latter, it was thought, would be disposed of by throwing into furnaces such as railway fireboxes.

Cow flop apparently was also used to disguise an explosive charge but I cannot find an official reference.

I would think that this thread would be closely related to the anti personal bombs which were left behind for the unwary to pick up as souvenirs of an engagement......make them attractive or useful enough and the enemy will frequently be inquisitive sufficient to be caught out by a booby trap, often with a fatal outcome.

Overall,it's easy to understand the reaction of the authorities in responding as they do as in these days of terrorism, the initiative always lies with them and the authorities have to be alert to it.
