I have another picture request from the Australian War Memorial Canberra Australia (NOW RECIEVED)

    Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

    I am wondering if any one can assist again please in getting me a picture of the memorial of a -

    FLETCHER, WALTER BELL Rank: Private Service No: 445 Date of Death: 05/05/1915 Age: 37 Regiment/Service: Australian Infantry, A.I.F. 14th Bn. Panel Reference 41. Memorial LONE PINE MEMORIAL Additional Information:
    Son of James and Isabella Fletcher; husband of Margaret Bryce Fletcher, of 137, Cochrane St., Elsternwick, Victoria, Australia. Native of Cockermouth, Cumberland, England.

    Location on the Roll of Honour
    Walter Bell Fletcher's name is located at panel 72 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial (as indicated by the poppy on the plan).

    PS - regarding Cockermouth, did you know that 19 people that served in the Australian forces in WW2 came from there??

    Hi Dave,

    I knew there was quite a few that served in WW1 but not that many from WW2. Will have to look into that one.
