Evelyn Beatrice Hall - Wikipedia
The modern version has become,
"I do not agree with what you have to say, and I'll put you to death if you say it again"
Surely its: "Ummm, I'm going to report you on Facebook" ?
The effect is much the same but digital death is actually more painful.
yes it would take a long time to die getting prodded with fingers... is that what you mean?
I'll get my coat!
I'd like to see someone report me on farcebook.
There are hate speech law in the UK - quite rightly so in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't give my life for the right of Nazis to spread their hatred.
What about grammar nazis? You missed an 's' off!I
t's particularly important as there appear to be at least two hate speech laws: one for us and one for them...
Grammar Nazis don't spread hate, they are just annoying (especially when they are wrong!).
Im not on facebook or twitter but particularly like looking at twitter and indeed it is pathetic how people hide themselves behind it (no backbone) plus as you say the grammar police
gosh imagine me on it they would go apoplectic i cant be bothered with all the grammar stuff although decimal point mistake can be troublesome
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
