Thomas Walther (76) from Wangen (north of Lake Constance),receives in an official ceremony in Wangen this or next week the cross for his continuing hunt of Nazis such as John Demjanuk, Reinhold Hanning, Hubert Zafke and Oskar Groening (accountant of Auschwitz) and others.

The former judge Thomas Walter, is still legally involved and helps Holocaust survivors to receive justice, even today.

His father, a building contractor helped two Jewish friends into hiding on 9th November 1938 which probably made Thomas Walter so sensitive for these former SS men and their crimes.
In his family the Nazi time was openly discussed, which was not the standard in most other German families, unfortunately.
