Blimey, they really are turning into a juggernaut aren't they. Airfix a cheap pickup no doubt, but Corgi seemed to be doing ok. I've had this feeling that models are 'coming back' a bit. I wonder when Hornby'll give the area the same huge kick up the BTM it did to the train sets recently.
It says "Last year, Corgi Classics generated sales of £6.5m" So they'll get their money back very soon.

BBC News - Hornby boosted by strong sales in Europe Modelmaker Hornby has said sales in Europe over the past six months rose 50% compared with the year earlier. The firm - which makes model railways, Scalextric car racing kits and Airfix models - said the rise helped pre-tax profits increase by 80% to £959,000.
