Looking for info regarding Middlesex regiments time in Hong Kong in 1942. My uncle was stationed there before being killed aboard Lisbon Maru when sunk by USA submarine oct 1st 1942. We believe before then he was stationed in Singapore. Thanks

    Hi Mary - welcome

To research you relatives military history it really is best to start off on the right foot by obtaining his service records, and they can only be found in the files of the MOD, the link for the forms is - Request records of deceased service personnel - GOV.UK

A bit to be getting on with until we know his name and others can help.
From this you can see that 1st Battalion Middlesex Regiment were part of the Island Brigade until the retreat from the mainland when they manned the pillboxes. Hong Kong War Diary
