I am looking for relatives of the men who served in HMS Martin G44. She was an 'Matchless Class' Destroyer who were commonly known as the magnificent 'M's. HMS Martin was torpedoed and sunk by U431 on the 10th November 1942 with the loss of 159 of her 222 crew. My 18 year old Uncle, Ordinary Seaman Thomas Cusack was one of the casualties. Our family website hmsmartin-g44.co.uk is dedicated to all who served in the 'Martin'. Your contact would be appreciated. Tom.
