Hi all...on the hunt for info again. I know that HMS Canopus, often referred to as 'Canopus II' was in Alexandria, but does anyone know which district it was in, better still with an address? I also would like to know what the building was before the Admiralty turned it into a stone frigate. Good hunting gang
From what I can gather Canopus was a building within the perimeter of the Alexandria dockyard. This may suggest it was originally a port building, but who may have built it I still have no idea
