HMS Assistance - Merchant or Royal Navy

I know, I was quite excited about the extra pictures... I have spotted my Dad in a few of yours. My Dad has been gone now for 49 years so my memories of the times we did talk are also pretty vague.
I am going to try and find his Service records but I am not sure if my older Sister (the keeper of records lol) has his Service Number... without that it might be a difficult excercise, but it will be worthwhile to be able to pass the info down to my children and grandchildren.
