    Monday 6th April 1942

DEVA PARSI, Cook (O), 73197 (RIN), killed [BCWM]
IBRAHIM MUSA, Ordinary Seaman, 72470 (RIN), killed [BCWM]
MUHAMMAD MUSA, Ordinary Seaman, 72467 (RIN), killed [BCWM]
SAYID AHMAD, Sukhani, 71538 (RIN), killed [BCWM]
WALD-UL-HAQ ANWAR ALI, Fireman, 71194 (RIN), killed [BCWM]

On the 6th April Auxiliary Minesweeper HMIS Selama suffered the above five deaths, but I have not been able to determine the circumstances. Was the ship targeted by the Japanese forces that were wreaking havoc in the Indian Ocean during this period or was it involved in an accident? Any ideas?

    Regards,
