    Interesting Forum!

Hello, I'm Gerrard Williams co-author with Simon Dunstan of the book "Grey Wolf - The Escape of Adolf Hitler."

I thought the forum might like to have a look at a sample before I dive in with specific replies.

    Grey Wolf Ch.1-5

    To: WTID 45
    Welsh too.

And to Phylo Road King (Is that you Sid?) I'm back from my tea.
You might like to look at Amazon.com for some early reviews - and yes some are from Journalist friends who've known me over 25 years - but others are not.

Happy to argue the case with anyone who has an objective question, and will also post some of the research which led us to the conclusion if people would like to see it.
Anyone who has read the thread on Axis History Forum will notice it is locked. I have asked for it to be unlocked.

    Look forward to engaging!
    Best Regards

    Gerrard.

So has anyone read it then? ;)

This all sounds like a continuation of the PWE/SOE Operation Casement to spread stories that the Nazi leadership were fleeing to Argentina via Spain.

One of the little stickers distributed at the end of 1944, it reads:

"Volk comrades! Don't worry about the Führer. If we go down the drain a long-distance aircraft or large U-boat is always there to rescue him to Japan or the Argentine. Be of good cheer!"

(As we're plugging books, find out more about the above in my "The Black Art" http://www.psywar.org/shop.php
Also available from Google eBooks, well in a few days time anyway.)

Good man! Sadly the hardback is expensive due to all the colourful illustrations. I knew it would only have a limited appeal because of the costs involved, so released the B&W paperback at the same time. The eBook will be the best way of seeing the illustrations in colour, if it ever shows up on UK Google.

The problem now is, it is only right and proper that I reciprocate. Although I can't promise that I will actually read it ;)

Do you mention Operation Casement in "Grey Wolf"?

No, although we were aware of it, and the "agency" reports that supported it. Looking forward to reading yours. Don't feel you have to buy Grey Wolf. I have put some sample chapters up for people to see if they might like it.
Will the e-book be on Kindle?
We're having problems getting out on Kindle as we're being published by Barnes and Noble who are pretty set with their "nook" e-reader.
    Good Luck with yours.

Don't tell anyone but I must confess to be intrigued by your and Simon's book and probably will take a sneak peek or two.

I didn't go the Kindle route because my understanding is that Kindle doesn't handle PDFs/illustrations very well. The Black Art is a highly illustrated book as it focuses on the printed black propaganda put out by Britain. In fact the last half of the book is an extensive catalogue of this material. Google seem a better route for me but it has taken them a long time to extend their market outside of the U.S. It's only in the last month ttat hey have moved into the British, Canadian and Australian markets.

My other little book "Whispers of War" deals with rumour-mongering and is a collection of a thousand or so of the rumours spread by the Government during war. The next book, currently under preparation, deals with clandestine radio broadcasting. After that will be press propaganda and 'secret journalism' depending whether they will release any of the important files on the subject - that's unlikely in the current situation with the Government being extra sensitive about its relationship with and attempts to manipulate the press.

I don’t believe a word of it, extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence to back said claims up. Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me. 9/11 was an inside job and the Americans never went to the moon and Kennedy was shot from the grassy knoll.

    Same old.

    a - 9/11 was an inside job
b - and the Americans never went to the moon
c - and Kennedy was shot from the grassy knoll.

a - Correct, the airplanes were two Boeing 757 and two Boeing 767. What's Boeing? An American company. What else do you need to know?
b - They did, but not in the generally supposed century.
c - Correct in part. There were actually three grassy knolls in Dealey Plaza, but the FBI flattened one and the hippies smoked the other. I heard there was a fourth knoll of similar description in the crime scene and Obama was hidden behind, but that's a fabrication as Obama was 2 years old at the time and was in Nairobi, Ky (not Kentucky, Kenia ferchrissakes) writing up someone's birth certificate. At any rate it's all Bush's fault.

I know that there are many stories based on the premise that Hitler escaped and was spirited away to South America.

The rumour that I once heard, was that he secretly re-married and that his son, who is still around today, is known as George Galloway.

When you stop to think about, there's a striking resemblance, even to the moustache.

Only reporting what I heard........of course, there may be no truth in it :) :) :)

    Hi Ron,
at least have a look at the sample chapters. My Dad was a "Desert Rat" too. Staff Sgt Len Williams RASC. Volunteered in September '39. He would have wanted to read what we have found out, he wouldn't have liked it, but he would have at least read it.
    Best Wishes.

This thread reminds me of the old story about the re-unification of Germany. The Germans were looking for a new strong leader who could weld the old DDR to West Germany.
They finally discovered an ageing Hitler living in the jungle in Brazil and offered him the job.
He hummed and harred for a while then agreed but on one condition.
    "What's that?" they asked.
Hitler replied, "This time, no more Mister Nice Guy."

Forgive me for saying this but I just cannot take it remotely seriously that anyone believes that Hitler made it to South America, certaibly not on a Submarine or an aircraft , if he made it there he swam alone, unaided and with the aid of a set oif rubber arm bands.....Kriegsmarine issue of course.

Or maybe he floated over there on a log.....just a thought! :)

From Adams link to another forum , the author states that U880 and 518 survived ...sorry definitely sunk , they never appeared in South America.... did two complete crews disappear , almost 100 men without trace , never to be seen again or did they just decide to never mention Hitler or Herman or Bormann , what are the chances of that ?

Quite likely if those submarines crossed the Bermuda Triangle. I've been there myself and since then I could never shave again as I became unable to locate myself in the mirror.

    Entirely possible.

I wonder how many of the men in the dock in 1946 knew that Hitler had escaped and if so why they never said a single word ?
The pilots who flew him out, the drivers who drove him to the docks the sailors who lived so close to him for 50 plus days , no one said a word ?

There is no evidence to say the submarines ever came to South America , and how many others had to say nothing when they docked or appeared off shore ?

As I remarked on the other forum, five (now eight) five-star reviews
is deeply suspicious for a book on this subject.

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler

Now I understand that some of these reviewers are "journalist friends" of
Mr. Williams, something he neglected to mention in WW2 Forums, where
discussion of this book is, rightly, consigned to the Alternate History category.

Just stunning! This will turn established history on its head!,

So far it has not, nor will it.

This is going to be huge!

    Somehow I doubt it.

The review in full.....all opinion based.
This review is from: Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler (Hardcover)
I've been lucky enough to read this pre-publication and it's an absolutely stunning work. I approached it with a great deal of scepticism, because like just about everybody else, I'd accepted the word of all those who claimed Adolph Hitler killed himself in Berlin in 1945. However, five years of painstaking research by these two guys, Williams and Dunstan, has given us a far more believable and acceptable account of the fate of the Fuhrer. He escaped to the Argentinian mountains alongside many of his henchmen and fellow Nazis and lived a peaceful, luxurious life until the early 1960's when he died from natural causes. There will be many who will try and pick this epic journalism apart, but in the end, I suspect, most will concede that the story is almost certainly the truth. This is going to be huge! Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler

A mass of reviews as soon as the book was released, most of the people reviewing having done so for the first time....

I wonder if Herman Fegelein and Martin Bormann had doubles as well , they must have had ...and Eva (Hitler) seems a lot of doubles in the bunker , perhaps they all escaped and the doubles shot themselves , poisoned themselves I can't imagine so many people willing to kill themselves to allow so many others to escape....and separate from this we are to believe that Hess was also a double.
