PK if a film is in the "offing" like everyone else I can't see it overturning or rewriting history.
Like dung from China it is all so bl**dy far fetched. :)

Yes , seen some of the junk there including a young lad who likes the BNP telling me that all this new information "Rocked the establishment" but was "ignored by the press", and some very badly made film clips which are just too bad for words.

The "mini earth quake" experienced in Donegal last week didn't even rock a tea cup.

DONEGAL EARTHQUAKE: MORE COULD BE ON THE WAY, SAY EXPERTS | Donegal Daily

I liked the take on the "motivation" poster e all are so sick of seeing in so many work places.

me too, until I saw the references to film-making etc...

it should be like email names, there should be a Simon Dunstan#1,
number#2 etc just so that we can be sure we not assigning the
wrong bad history to the right wrong man... sound familiar? (!)

    ;P

    I think that's a different Simon Dunstan?

Oh, Dunstan wasn't the cameraman for those video clips ;)

Hmmmm.... is there a subtle effort to change
the story going on behind the scenes

"A later claim was that a U-977 submarine delivered remains of Hitler and Eva Braun to Antarctica in the hope they could be cloned from their DNA."
The slight drawback here is that the link with DNA and hereditary wasn't confirmed until 1952 and not fully understood until the 1970s. :)

...a U-977 submarine delivered remains of Hitler and Eva Braun to Antarctica...

Maybe that was the leg and part of his ribcage that fell off before the Soviets got him to the autopsy table!

I love all the conspiracy tales based on medical circumstances like cloning; German medicine in the wartime period was remarkably backwards in some areas...proper wound excision and debridement was unknown; injuries had major fragments removed...then were closed - and the poor landser lived or died of wound infection after that, there was no policy on re-visiting closed injuires to remove damaging bone splinters, to further debride necrotic flesh etc....if the guy lived, great! - if he didn't - plenty more out there.

Compared to, say, American combat medicine, German ways of doing things were almost barbaric; look at some of Mengele's....ahem..."experimental surgical operations" - he was only in the very first (and VERY uncontrolled and unscientific) stages of working out wound debridement and excision!

I don't think he'll be too upset considering his book has sold in the tens of thousands.
I highly doubt that given the size of print runs for history books. Bookscan shows that bestseller status can go to books that have sold around 10,000 copies. Also the number of books printed does not equal the number of books sold. Books are most often sold to booksellers on a fully returnable basis. Publishers count books sitting in warehouses or on shelves as sold then they come trundling back and end up in your friendly remainder bin. In my experience the only way to accurately gauge a book's popularity is the number of print runs done for it or the paperback release schedule.

It has nothing to do with reputation but all about money? What a shame.

Publishers will also sell books (back to the the authors) very cheap if they can't shift them.

He would need to ;) He owes a LOT of money to a LOT of people after his first attempt to produce a film from "Grey Wolf"...

    Absolute nonsense.
Everyone knows he fled to Minehead:

You are all wrong, he worked at the chip shop at the end of my road until he retired and went to live in Bournemouth.

You are both mistaken, he was last seen playing footy in Oz....

I can't imagine that they would allow that show on the air today, some group would get offended, have a great hue and cry about it, etc etc
