    Saw these beauties running today at full tilt.Standing behind them was an experience.

    Is that the Allison radial as fitted in the P-36?
    When I joined Rolls Royce as a graduate apprentice Merlins were still being supported as the Chilean air force was still flying Lancasters on antarctic patrols

    Are you sure the radial isn't a Wright? Looks like a nine cylinder.

    I looked at the bumf around the engines and it mentioned Allison Radial
