Hi all, I am a trekker from Bangladesh (It was India during WWII), while we trek the Mowdok Taung peak and that areas we heard about a hidden airstrip and road inthe hilly jungle. I met one guy at a Army camp there who said that they saw broken equipments which is a leftover of WWII and also trace of a road time to time when they go for random survey inside the jungle. What I learnt by searching the net that it was the India-Burma front, the Japanese came upto Mowdok and later on was pushed back to Burma. Can anyone confirm me if it was possible that there was airstrip there? and any information and old map for that would be welcome. I want to find the place and make the info available for others.
